We seek a Technical Product Manager to join our team. As our Technical Product Manager, you will be critical in defining and executing our product roadmap, working closely with the senior leadership, Subject matter experts, AI team, product engineering, and testing, and ensuring our software products' high-quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of cost optimization in product development. This role will be critical in driving efficient solutions while maintaining high product quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for cost engineering solutions, aligning with overall business objectives and customer needs.
  • Lead the cost model development exercise for various categories, collaborating closely and cross-functionally with subject matter experts (SME), Product engineering, AI team, and customers.
  • Drive project management by overseeing project timelines, deliverables, and resources, ensuring that cost engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies related to cost engineering.
  • Work closely with customers and key stakeholders to understand their cost-related needs and requirements, translating these into actionable product specifications and features.
  • Drive User adoption and improve solution utilization by enabling the latest user adoption tools and technologies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and training material for cost engineering solutions for user training and better tool adoption.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, cost engineering, or a related role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cost engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and cost analysis techniques. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • AI/ML Skills: Good understanding and working knowledge of AI/ML principles and Gen AI ishighly beneficial.
  • Project Management: Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to understand and prioritize customer needs and requirements in product development.
